3 WAYS TO BREW POUR OVER POUCHES
TRADITIONAL POUR OVER COFFEE (HOT):
- Tear open the pouch at the perforation.
- Gently pull open the wings and hook the pouch over your mug.
- Heat at least a cup of water to 200°F or 93°C.
- Pour hot water halfway up the pouch (1oz), soaking the grinds but not filling the pouch. Wait 20 seconds. (this is called "bloom".)
- Refill the pouch with hot water 3x more times (7oz).
- Discard the pouch and enjoy your freshly brewed cup of coffee!
COLD BREW:
- Grab 2 coffee pouches of your favorite coffee.
- Take them out of the packaging foil, but don't tear the pouch open. [Optional: cut off the wings]
- Fill a jar with 2 cups of water and submerge the pouches. Push them down into the water until the grounds sit under the waterline.
- Place covered in the fridge overnight (around 12 hours), and wake up to refreshingly smooth cold brew!
- You may want to adjust the concentration with water or by serving over ice.
TRADITIONAL POUR OVER (ICED):
- Tear open the pouch at the perforation.
- Gently pull open the wings to hook the pouch over your mug.
- Heat at least a cup of water to 200°F or 93°C.
- Blooming: Pour hot water halfway up the pouch (1oz), soaking the grinds but not filling the pouch. Wait 20 seconds.
- Refill the pouch with hot water 1.5-2 more times (4-6oz) depending on how strong you like your coffee.
- Discard the Pour Over Pouch and add 95g of ice to enjoy your fresh iced pour over!
BREW TIPS
Water Temperature:
Bring the water to a boil, then either 1) wait 30s with the kettle lid open or 2) add a bit of cold water.
Coffee-to- Water Ratio
It is tempting to refill the pouch with water more, but we recommend only 3 refills of the pouch for optimal taste.
